Marina Attendant

Full-Time

Basic Function:
The Marina Attendant is responsible for the daily working operations of the marina complex - including but not limited to physical labor, guest services, clerical procedures, and reporting.

Work Performed:

1. Assist guests with docking vessels.
2. Provide excellent customer service.
3. Line handling, electrical, water and cable hook-up.
4. Guest registration and orientation.
5. Provide instructions for use of all marina watercraft.
6. Assist guests in the usage of all marina watercraft.
7. Trash removal.
8. Newspaper, ice and package delivery.
9. Fuel and retail sales.
10. Rental boat maintenance and instruction.
11. Phone and VHF radio use.
12. Assist with other duties or assignments as required by Dockmaster.

Responsibility and Authority:

1. Ensure timely opening and/or closing of marina outlets and yachting events.
2. Constantly monitor work areas for potential safety issues.
3. Understand all policies and procedures associated with boat rentals.
4. Secure complete & accurate data during guest registration/reservation request or any point of sale.
5. Maintain current information on daily guest activities.
6. Maintain condition of uniform, shirt tucked in belted trousers, visible nametag; shoes must cover entire foot, and abide by 10-5-3 rule of contact.
7. Follow course of daily work schedule as outlined in procedures packet.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements
Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing. Previous experience in guest service/marina environment preferred. Knowledge of marine terminology and equipment a plus. Willingness to learn and retain knowledge necessary for daily work schedule.

Physical Requirements:
Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
Manual dexterity on uneven surfaces and in inclement weather.
