How you will enjoy your day:

Assist Enchantment Resort guests as needed by providing hiking / biking recommendations, general resort information, and any other assistance they may need during their stay. Answer phones and fill out Ambassador Lead sheets for Adventure Advisors to assist in booking tours. Assist in the prepping and rental of Mountain Bikes.

Work Performed:

  1. Greet guests within the Trail House and provide exceptional service.
  2. Inform guests of activities offerings, including guided hikes, mountain bike rides, and Grand Canyon tours.
  3. Give directions on hiking/ biking trails for resort guests in need of additional information.
  4. Assist in prepping Bike Rentals
  5. Answer phone at front desk of trail house and assist with any guest inquiries.
  6. Assist in facilitating hike and bike activities, including checking guests in for their guided hike or mountain bike ride, or other activity.
  7. Other duties as assigned

Supervision Received: Outdoor Adventure Manager and Activities Director

Responsibility and Authority:

  1. Understand the basic functions of various departments, including Concierge, Camp Coyote, Tennis, Grand Canyon tours, Guest programs, Special Events, Hike and Bike programs, local activities through a training program outlined by the Outdoor Adventure Manager and Activities Director.
  2. Use good judgement by acting in the best interest of the company when the Activities Supervisor or Director are absent or unavailable.
  3. Be available on-call based upon occupancy and availability of tasks and work flexible hours
  4. Make sound business decisions that first take into consideration the welfare of the guest, staff, and the resort when dealing with guest complaints
  5. Complete projects on time with accuracy without direct supervision
  6. Implement, organize, and direct activities, special events & promotions at the direction of the Outdoor Adventure Manager and Activities Director.
  7. Responsible for guests safety when loaning out equipment and when guiding hikes (refer to Hiking Guide job description)

Minimum Requirements:

College Degree preferred. Two years of sales experience preferred. Passion for the outdoors. Previous sales experience in the outdoor industry (hiking and/or mountain biking industry) a plus. Must have strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with ease. Outgoing, friendly, and team oriented. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point). Self-motivated, organized, and outgoing with strong people skills. Excellent team member relations skills. Must be able to maintain current CPR and first aid certification. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
